Gilmac NZ Ltd is committed to undertaking its
business in a manner that recognises the importance of
environmental protection and sustainability.

We aim to do this by:

Ensuring we comply with all applicable New Zealand
laws, regulations and statutory requirements relating to
environmental issues.

Contact with suppliers is on a very regular basis where
they keep Gilmac up to date and informed of any
changes to product MSDS or policy changes.

Procurement of product is overseen inhouse and is
updated by our international suppliers.

Addition of more sustainable products are added to the
range, once they become available.

Monitoring and evaluating the environmental
performance of subcontractors and suppliers
and implementing effective communication on
environmental issues.

Policy and compliance records are requested from all
suppliers.

Regular reviews of Gilmac’s policies to ensure the
objectives, policies, and methods of implementation
reflect changes in statutory requirements.

Gilmac’s commitments are regularly reviewed and
outlined, and made available to customers, keeping in
line with any updates to the New Zealand Government’s
Ethical and Sustainable Practices Policy.

Ensuring all employees understand their responsibility
to protect the environment we live and work in.

Gilmac has individual contracts with all staff that include
a comprehensive list of company policies.

Gilmac employees are taken through specific
sustainability guidelines during induction and at any
such time where an update is necessary.

Staff contracts have provisions for breaks and
remuneration for wages and salaries above the legal
minimum wage.

Gilmac is committed to ensuring a safe and open
environment for all employees, including providing equal
opportunities for all.
